Climate: Experience the 3rd revolution as we enter the digital era!  

The climate challenge is an opportunity to create jobs and wealth. New production and consumption methods are being invented. New economic models are appearing as well. People are speaking about “circular”, “functional”, “collaborative” and “decarbonated” economies. There is a sea change going on, linked to new technologies and renewable energies. Some are calling this the “third industrial revolution”.
This revolution concerns everyone, including our profession and clients. Some companies are affected by new laws and regulations, by carbon footprint assessments, CO2 quotas or energy certificates. Other companies are having to develop new business or adapt their existing business to the constraints of climate change. New standards as well as new demands from both corporate clients and individuals will require firms to retrain their staff.
France will be hosting COP21, the 21st United Nations International Conference on Climate Change, chaired by Laurent Fabius on 11 December 2015. But don’t wait until then to find out what you as a CPA should know about these issues.
